Due to significant growth in Live Life Disability Support Services, weare offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivatedindividual to join our Team reporting to the Group Manager Residential and Vocational.

This Group Leader role will strengthen our services acrossthe Nelson region and support both our Residential and Vocational Teams alongwith our Learning and Development Trainer.

The successful applicant will work alongside our teamto facilitate greater choice and control for the people we support, and their naturalnetworks.

You will have excellent communication skills, work-based practice andwill be able to work effectively within multi-disciplinary and cross agencyteams.

Our services are delivered following the Social Modelwhere we believe that changes in society remove barriers for everyone.

We have embedded in our practices the Principles ofEnabling Good Lives, Active Support, Quality Improvement, Positive BehaviourSupport, Learning and Development, and Health & Safety.

It will be necessary to have a good understanding ofcurrent trends, acts, conventions and models of disability service delivery.

Acknowledgement, inclusiveness and great communication with the people wesupport, families and whānau is the key to building partnerships.

This is a permanent full-time position, working 80 hours a fortnight.Usual days of work will be Mondayto Friday, 7.30AM to 4.

00PM, with theflexibility to work outside of these hours to meet service needs.

Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Whois an appropriate applicant?)

You will hold a NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 4)Advanced Support, or an equivalent health or disability related qualificationas assessed by the Ministry of Health (seelink below).

Preferred candidates will ideally hold a Level 5 Diploma orabove, or be working towards Level 5 or above in Human Services or equivalent.

You will also have a sound knowledge of Person Centred support aswell as good time management skills. Experience working in the field ofdisability is advantageous.
