About this role
In this role you will have the opportunity, as part of the Planning and Performance team, to :
lead the development of various Ministry's accountability documents (Annual Report, Statement of Intent, Estimates, quarterly reports to Ministers)
provide facilitation, thought leadership and advice to improve planning, performance measures and associated reporting across the Ministry
work with your colleagues in CSP, across the Ministry and the sector to provide advice and support the implementation of the Ministry's strategic intentions and their contribution to improved educational outcomes.
You will have :
experience with public sector strategy, planning and reporting processes, preferably in a large complex organisation
a good understanding of the machinery of government and overall budgeting and accountability processes
the ability to work collaboratively across a variety of areas in the Ministry to help shape and communicate high quality advice.
You will also offer :
strong communications skills with the ability to prepare reports and other documents for a range of audiences
great relationship management skills and the ability to build and sustain networks (internally and externally)
strong analytical and problem solving skills
the ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga.
