Our Opportunity :

Supporting our Property Manager, your role will be to continue to develop and build our relationships within our communities and our landowners.

In this role you'll work together with the Property Manager to strengthen the contractual relationships with our contracted landowners.

There will be an initial focus on our geothermal assets including a significant number of property relationships at our Kawerau site.

  • Build and maintain landowner relationships, including with a number of Māori land trusts, including both generating assets and future development sites
  • Management of annual licence fee and royalty payments, along with any other contractual obligations, in accordance with landowner agreements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with neighbouring landowners and engagement with the wider communities where we operate.
  • Take responsibility for the maintenance of data in the Property Interests Database (internal Mercury system) ensuring that it remains as the one source of the truth for all Mercury's property contracts and landowner agreements.
  • We are looking for :

  • Property, Valuation or Natural Resources tertiary qualification
  • At least five years of relevant work experience including property transactions and / or property management advice, ideally with Māori land trusts and owners
  • Demonstrated record of relationship management experience, including experience of iwi relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience in negotiation of agreements
  • Experience in dealing with complex legal documents
