As New Zealand’s Exchange, we are passionate about working with our customers and stakeholders to grow the markets NZX operates, which generate wealth integral to New Zealanders’ prosperity, and New Zealand companies getting ahead.

To support the growth and development of our core markets business, and to ensure we are well connected to New Zealand investors, NZX owns Smartshares, New Zealand’s only issuer of listed Exchange Traded Funds and manager of the SuperLife KiwiSaver scheme.

NZX also provides wealth management services for New Zealand advisers via its Wealth Technologies business.

Now we are looking for you to join our Participant Compliance team, playing a vital role as a Compliance & Risk Advisor.

This small and friendly team plays a pivotal role in contributing to the improvement of the overall quality of the market by ensuring compliance with NZX Rules.

Put your relevant qualification, relationship building skills, interest in capital markets and attention to detail to use in this varied role.

From assessing capital adequacy requirements, investigating potential breaches of NZX’s Rules by NZX market participants (including matters raised by members of the public via the NZX complaints process), and providing guidance to NZX market participants on compliance with NZX’s Rules, to conducting on-

site supervision visits of participants and everything in between, you will do it all. The work is interesting and what's more there is always something new to learn!

Naturally you will be an effective communicator with strong analytical skills and an ability to manage competing priorities.

You will have the ability to work autonomously but also as part of a team as we support each other in the challenges. You will have at least two years’ experience in financial markets, and experience in capital markets, particularly equities and derivatives, would be an advantage.

This is an opportunity to be involved in challenging and stimulating work at the heart of New Zealand's capital markets, enjoying a fantastic team environment and the opportunity to develop your career with a recognised brand.
