We are on the hunt for a hands-on Chef Manager to run Altus Café, located in Mt Wellington, Auckland. Altus café provides a homely atmosphere where you will enjoy getting to know the customers by name while serving them amazing, fresh food.
This is a full time position working Monday Friday.
In this role you will be a hands-on cook / chef actively involved in the creating, cooking and serving of all meals, as well as the day-to-day running of the Café.
There will be a daily meal to cook, hot and cold cabinets to be prepared in a café like style all while keeping the café and kitchen sparkling clean.
Ideally you are as well familiar with operating the front of house as this is a solo site. Our clientele at this site appreciate variety and value for money, and your creativity and eye for presentation will see you on the road to success in this position.
From time to time our client will ask you to arrange the catering for corporate functions.
The role involves :
Culinary knowledge and relevant industry experience
Preparing, cooking and serving food
Operate Eftpos and POS machine with a smile
Achieving legislative and budgetary guidelines
Managing product quality standards and service delivery
Knowledge of Food Control Plan
Great communication skills and moderate computer literacy
Exceptional multi-tasking ability
A flexible, can-do, committed attitude
