We are seeking a professional, energetic, proactive, reliable and experienced individual to join our supportive team in our Orthopaedic Surgical Ward.
As an Inpatient Receptionist your key responsibility will be to provide administrative support to the Charge Nurse Manager and wider clinical team, as well as ensuring that patients, visitors and specialists receive a superior level of customer service.
Based at Ascot Hospital in Remuera, this role offers variety, as well as the opportunity to gain valuable insight into healthcare services at of New Zealand's largest private surgical facilities.
Some of the tasks that you will take ownership of include general reception duties, assisting with patient bookings for other health services, collating and updating patient charts, assisting with patient admissions, transfers and discharges, and ensuring the smooth running of the ward from an administration perspective.
We are seeking candidates who have previous experience in a frontline customer service / reception role (preferably in a healthcare or professional services environment), excellent verbal / written communication and computer skills, a friendly and confident telephone manner, great attention to detail and superb organisational and time management skills.
Your will be first point of contact for all visitors and phone calls to the ward. In addition, as the Inpatient Receptionist works within a large team setting, demonstrated experience working effectively and positively within a large team environment is essential.
The hours of work are 25 hours per week.
