About the role :

Due to growth and upcoming projects, we are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team based on Auckland?s North Shore.

As the helping hand we all need, your duties will be varied and will include

  • Undertake cost controlling, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, subcontract claim review and or commercial negotiation activities required and ensure budgetary targets are set and either met or exceeded.
  • Manage and build professional relationships with key stakeholders at all levels including external consultants and contractors
  • Provide oversight on multiple jobs simultaneously at various stages of development
  • Support the team in making strategic decisions regarding the different milestones set while ensuring quality is maintained as well as to budget
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all project contract documentation including head contracts and subcontracts.
  • Estimating, Drafting and managing major Project Budgets
  • Tender Preparation
  • Quantity Surveying throughout all your Projects
  • Procuring all items within the business and continually checking these items
  • Maintaining an Instruction Register and pricing of Variations
  • Assistant to the Managing Director, Project Manager and Financial manager.
  • Skills and Experience required :

  • At least one-year?s relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
  • A relevant qualification in Estimating or Quantity Surveying preferred.
  • Cost Management, and Construction Methodology understanding
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines with a good attention to detail
  • Excellent skills at developing effective working relationship
