We are currently seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) team in our Auckland office.

Reporting to the Project Sales Director, your focus will be to expand your assigned portfolio through the creation of new business and new relationships in pursuit of sales growth targets for the business.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Establishing and owning the sales plans and strategies aimed at serving and expanding the customer portfolio base in your assigned area and or vertical.
  • Driving and securing sales through understanding of the target customer’s business, their drivers, organisation structure / key decision makers and influencers and the industry sector.
  • Partner with potential customers as well as establishing relationships with builders, developers and relevant industry consultants with a view to maximizing sales and the business potential for all parties.
  • Forecasting and planning of key initiatives and milestones in order to meet set targets.
  • Ensuring client feedback is used effectively to review and continuously improve business processes and offerings.
  • Key Experience & Capabilities :

    We are looking for someone optimistic and tenacious at the same time! Things that will help you succeed in this role include :

  • Strong technical enterprise selling with a strong focus on solutions is highly desirable
  • Previous experience within similar industries (e.g. BMS, Security and Fire systems) is highly desirable
  • Customer engagement at senior levels with proven experience prospecting for opportunities
  • Clearly articulate value and demonstrate how solutions map to a customers’ needs
  • Proven track record of business development and sales
  • Compelling presentation and communication skills when executing effective negotiation strategies and plans
