This role is for a Senior Java Developer for the NCEA product team. This product team supports the yearly NCEA exam cycle to ensure high quality assessments and so learners can effectively prepare, sit, and monitor progress and results of their examinations, and providers have all the tools necessary to provide support.
Now with NCEA Online, assessments are all going digital and in the cloud so there is a wide range of technology and tasks to work on.
This role will be responsible for modernisation and operational support of the underlying business applications, working on integration of internal and external facing systems, and development of new initiatives.
You will possess a strong desire to learn, have excellent problem solving, multi-tasking and context-switching abilities, and have solid proven experience in enterprise Java development.
