Working with internal Trimble solution partners to provide mobile devices paired with their software, sensors, and services to deliver a complete workflow solution.
Your Position
As a Product Engineer with Trimble you will develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequence processes, and quality associated with the manufacture of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
Working closely with our design engineering and NPI Project team, you will coordinate the release of new products. You will liaise with purchasing to assist with the selection of suppliers and work with the quality team to establish quality of our products is maintained and measured.
Some of what you’ll do :
Coordinate transition of new products and product enhancements from concept through the manufacturing process setup to a finished product.
Participate in and lead design reviews
Participate in the product definition and the creation of configuration process, shipment packaging and documentation
Coordinate, develop, qualify and deploy manufacturing tooling / fixturing and test stations
What you’ll bring :
Along with your communication skills and desire to collaborate with other technical professionals local and global, and your proven experience designing electronics, you will also have experience in :
General technical background in electronics and mechanical manufacturing methods (preferably Mechanical CAD, RF, Wireless and GPS technology)
Track record of hands-on experience building, validating and commissioning assembly fixtures and functional test systems
Working knowledge of Production Process setup and controls (including developing PFMEA, SMT & PTH manufacturing and the like)
Working knowledge of managing and working with Fulfillment Centres, Sub-Contract Manufacturers, EMS, ODMs and key suppliers
Able to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Systems, Manufacturing Engineering (Product Engineering), Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in product development or manufacturing / test
Experiences with managing sub-contract manufacturing or ODM in Mexico, Taiwan or China is a plus.
