Opportunity for progression to Senior Nursing via Research Nurse pathway.Due to increasing portfolio of Haematology trials opening, we have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with an enquiring and a passion for clinical research.
You will be joining our supportive and vibrant research team in the Cancer & Blood Service. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of Haematology Research trials.
As the research nurse, you will have your own trial caseload and be accountable for the care of patients on these studies.
You will be working in a Haematology setting and will be responsible for recruiting and looking after patients on trials working with various Principal Investigators.
You will interact with study participants and their families, investigating clinicians, clinical trial coordinators, C&B Research department staff, pharmacy and laboratory colleagues, and sponsoring groups involved in the study.
The essential skills required to be successful in this role include :
Level 4 Registered Nurse (Level 3 considered with appropriate experience).
Haematology experience essential.
Research experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
Ability to communicate with people from widely different backgrounds and cultures.
Methodical and a highly organised approach to planning workload.
Able to work autonomously, whilst integrating with the multidisciplinary team.
