3 East Critical Care Stepdown Unit Description

3 East Critical Care Stepdown is a 24 bed unit with combined private and semiprivate rooms. The patient rooms are equipped with bedside monitoring capabilities.

RN 3 East Critical Care Stepdown

A 3 East nurse is equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide comprehensive care for adult patients that require a stepdown level of care.

Essential Job Duties :

  • Follow Core measure metrics to include VTE, Acute MI, CHF, SCIP and Stroke
  • Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
  • Collaborates with the patient s designated care partner / coach to meet the educational, physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe and quality patient care.
  • Demonstrate Service Excellence Standards at all times.
  • Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others.

    Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes.

    Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.

    The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

    Job Requirements :

    Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.

    Minimum of one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.

    Critical Care / Stepdown experience

    ACLS (current upon hire)

    Current Florida nursing license.

    Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
