    Order Fulfilment Specialist

    Reports to : New Zealand Distribution Manager

    Position Location : Albany, Auckland

    How you'll make an impact :

    This is a key role linking warehouse Customer Care activity through to warehouse operations and ultimately customers. You will be responsible for the order fulfilment services for finished goods, parts and equipment in support of strategic and key accounts across the Thermo Fisher Scientific business.

    In addition, the role will be responsible for supporting export activity across the region. You will interact with internal and external customers and display strong communication and a customer centric attitude.

    The job requires a high level of compliance and accuracy to ensure customer expectations are met and re-work is minimized.

    A right first-time approach to activity is paramount.

    What will you do?

  • Support requests for Certificate of Analysis or similar data sheets or special instructions, and ensure these are completed ready for a timely dispatch
  • Liaise with Key Account Management (KAM) teams to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of those orders
  • Arrange special carrier for orders, and contact carriers to arrange collections. This is particularly important for Dangerous Goods (DG) or export shipments.
  • Liaise with external providers such as 3PL
  • Assist in resolving pick errors reported by Customer Care team (ultimately customers)
  • Send out sundry dockets
  • Assist in identifying root cause of pick errors
  • Respond to all enquiries in a timely manner (phone, email, SFDC)
  • Assist warehouse manager with escalations and prioritizing shipments
  • Attend all warehouse meetings, and be the connection at these meetings to Customer Care
  • Triage and action cases raised in SFDC for the warehouse
  • Process customer returns daily, including entering the data into the ERP system, and work with Customer Care to resolve and arrange credits
  • Be first point of contact for visiting delivery drivers to arrange unload or pick up
  • Develop understanding of Incoterms and revenue recognition requirements
  • Liaise with freight forwarders for export orders as necessary
  • Support as necessary with specialist documentation such as cold chain, export or DG / permits
  • Wear PPE and meet all safety requirements in warehouse environment
  • How will you get here?

  • Requires a minimum of 2-4 years related experience in a warehousing and / or customer service environment.
  • Broad warehousing experience and the ability to bring a keen focus on occupational health and safety, productivity & throughput, quality and continuous improvement
  • Experience with customer or supplier interactions preferable
  • Customer service experience
