    About the Role :

    You will provide support to Pasifika clients living in the community in both Waitemata and Auckland districts.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to have a direct impact on the lives of Pasifika families in the community to help them to reconnect and live as independently as possible.

    You will support Tangata Whaiora to achieve their personal goals through a focus on client strengths and by implementing best practice interventions and rehabilitation strategies.

    You :

    We expect you to have a thorough insight into Pasifika culture, language and identity, particularly insight around how to be culturally respectful.

    You will be a 'glass half full' type of person, with a positive outlook on an ever changing, evolving environment and with professional boundaries at the top of your list.

    Sometimes faced with challenging behaviour, you will utilise your calmness and sense of humour to engage and empathise with clients and be quick to think on your feet with how to deal with situations when whanau become unwell and are in need of support.

    You will need :

  • a Level 4 or 5 qualification in Mental Health and Addiction
  • Knowledge and experience supporting mental health clients from Pasifika cultures
  • Must have a Full New Zealand Driver Licence
  • Ideally have 2 years' experience in mental health roles
  • Demonstrated commitment to recovery model and Pasifika care model
  • Be able to use IT systems confidently excel.
  • Knowledge of community resources available to Pasifika people
