Playgroup Co-ordinator - Lincoln Heights
Playgroup forms part of Auckland Kindergarten Association. AKA has a long history in New Zealand in the Early Childhood Education sector, having been established in 1908 with the opening of our first kindergarten.
At AKA, we provide a safe and enriching early childhood learning environment where children can develop as confident and competent learners.
Lincoln Heights Playgroup is looking for a fun loving, practical, culturally aware person to lead and coordinate our Lincoln Heights Playgroup, someone who loves working with children / tamariki and their family / whanau.
The role of the coordinator is to ensure the smooth operation of the playgroup and provide support and guidance to the adults and children attending.
There is an administration component to the role, and an expectation that the coordinator will build links between the playgroup and local community organisations and services.
We have a well-resourced classroom within Lincoln Heights School, and are open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.
The role is 12 hours per week (9 contact / 3 non-contact). You will be passionate about working with and supporting tamariki and whānau and be confident to implement te reo and tikanga Māori in a supportive playgroup setting.
