We have Senior opportunities available based within our Northern and Western Compliance Monitoring Teams within our Licensing and Regulatory Compliance department which are responsible for monitoring the implementation of resource consents.

These roles have a specialist focus on monitoring the compliance of large scale earthworks and streamworks projects. In amongst the action, your time will predominantly be spent on-site ensuring best practice erosion and sediment controls are utilised to prevent adverse impacts on riparian areas, streams, wetlands, lakes and harbours.

You will identify areas of non-compliance and assess the impacts of these against statutory requirements with a focus on actual and potential effects on the environment and communities.

You will be responsible for providing advice and education to consent holders to facilitate and enhance compliance with consent conditions, and you will undertake enforcement action when required.

He kōrero mōu : About you

Your resume will demonstrate previous experience in environmental compliance and monitoring, or perhaps you possess experience in the planning, construction or maintenance of erosion and sediment controls.

Sound knowledge of the Resource Management Act and related legislation would be ideal. You may also possess a technical qualification in science, environmental, or resource management.

As these roles focus on earthworks and streamworks, experience in earthworks compliance will be key to ensuring discharges of sediment are prevented.

Excellent investigation and problem-solving abilities coupled with sound communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills will be required.

Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills will also be important to ensure quality environmental outcomes are achieved for Auckland.
