  • About the project

    The City Rail Link (CRL) Project is a game changer for Auckland and is the largest transport infrastructure project ever undertaken in New Zealand.

    The CRL is a 3.45km twin tunnel, transforming the dead-end station at Britomart, creating two new stations at Aotea and Karangahape Road and reconnecting to the network at a redeveloped Mt Eden station.

    The Link Alliance is a consortium of local and international construction companies responsible for delivering the tunnelling, stations and the systems contracts.

    About our roles :

    We are actively recruiting roles for our Mined Tunneling team! We are keen to hear from you if you are motivated to join this exciting project and have either an interest in starting a career in tunneling or continuing your expereince with our team team of professionals.

    We have opportunities for general labour and specialist underground labour positions including :

  • Hammerhands
  • Miners + General Tunnellers
  • Concreters
  • Key responsibilities include :

  • Maintain good relations with teammates and can clearly communicate well with crew members at all levels
  • Build an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements relating to regulatory and industry standards
  • Help equipment or plant operators, carpenters, and other skilled labour when necessary and take initiative
  • Operate and care for construction equipment, machines and power tools correctly and ensure daily plant / power tool checks are carried out
  • Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards; perform site clean-up as required
  • Load or unload construction materials
  • About You :

  • Entry level and skilled workers with construction experience welcome to apply
  • Knowledge of underground working environment and strong attention to health and safety practices
  • Ability to work underground
  • Physically fit and able to work 12 hour shifts
  • All successful applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test & medical.
