PLAY TO YOUR STRENGTHSAs a Area Operations Supervisor (Housekeeping), your primary responsibilities will include : Managing a team of 6 (or more) to ensure that the delegated tasks are completed flawlesslyCleaning and servicing apartments while training staff.
Manages and directs all aspects of the Housekeeping Department along with the Executive HousekeeperTo take responsibility for the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper ensuring fair delegation of dutiesEnsure room allocations are complete in a timely, efficient and effective manner insuring best utilization of all resources to achieve required goals and standardsTrains, guides and motivates all team members on a regular basis in order to achieve the highest standard of service.
Monitors reservations forecasts for staffing needs and produces time efficient rosters.Perform routine inspections of all check out rooms, occupied rooms, service areas, store rooms and corridorsCarry out daily room checks and public area walks.
Ensure all employees are following company policies and rules are familiar with the team handbook.Establishes effective control over stock costs and levels, completing stock takes at the end of each month.
Reports any potential health and safety hazardsCarrying out regular cleaning duties as allocatedAny reasonable request by the managementSPECIFIC REQUIREMENTSYou have at least 1 year or more experience in a similar role.
You have strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a large team.You have unwavering standards of cleanliness, quality & efficiency, and workplace health & safety.
You have exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage relationships and deputise for the Head Housekeeper, liaising with other department managers.
You have the ability to work on numerous tasks at one time, to budget and timelines.You have a solid command of MS office programs and Property Management SystemStrong communication skills & attention to detailBe able to work on a 7days rosterHave a NZ full driving licenseJob Types : Full-
