About the organisation and the role Strengthen the Church across Aotearoa to live out its purpose of bringing hope and freedom Christians Against Poverty CAP partners with hundreds of diverse churches across Aotearoa encouraging and equipping them to reach their communities and transform lives In the last year these partnerships resulted in 255 families finding freedom from debt and introduced 139 people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ Every year the CAP speaker team aims to speak in over a hundred New Zealand churches inspiring God s people to partner in this work either by running a service in their church or by financially supporting the work As the Speaker Team Leader you will lead and grow this group of speakers in effectiveness both in encouraging the Church and in motivating people to action Job tasks and responsibilities In leading the CAP Speaker Team you will Recruit train coach equip and inspire CAP speakers to deliver powerful and effective talks in churches around the country Grow the ability of the Speaker Team to effectively communicate CAP s vision resulting in people being moved to partner with CAP financially Work alongside other stakeholders within CAP to provide input into the script and overall experience of a talk so that each time a CAP speaker speaks in a church they communicate the heart and desired outcome Efficiently roster and coordinate the Speaker Team for each speaking opportunity communicating necessary information in a timely way so that the experience is a smooth one for the speaker Skills and experience The Speaker Team is in search of a leader with Training and experience in public speaking to diverse groups Proven leadership experience demonstrating an ability to inspire influence and deliver results A deep belief in the power of communication to share important messages and inspire people The ability to develop strengths skill and motivation in others to maximise performance A strategic mind able to lead a team in pursuit of strategic objectives Initiative proactivity and the ability to be decisive Project or event management experience A deep conviction in the power of the Church to live out the mission of Jesus here on earth The ability to work an average of one weekend each month Job benefits and perks In this role you will experience the joy that comes from a perfect meeting of your Godgiven giftings and your deeplyheld passions As iron sharpens iron you will be uplifted and strengthened in your faith and as a person working alongside a team who share your passion for serving the poor and saving the lost with the Church across Aotearoa You will find yourself constantly surrounded by stories of the lives your work is impacting and know that your work is making a difference for God s Kingdom here in New Zealand You will also enjoy flexible 22 5 hour working weeks alongside generous leave provisions starting at 5 weeks per year to enable you to keep your work and life in a healthy balance Important Application Details If you re all about using your communication and leadership skills to encourage and inspire the Church through this role the CAP team are waiting in anticipation for your application Head on over to the CAP NZ website at and send us through an application Please don t click apply on SEEK we need a CAP Application form to be able to consider your application Applications for this position are open until Tuesday 7 January 2020 so be sure to get in before then The team will be taking a break over the Christmas period so if you dont hear back from us right away hold tight Well be in touch once were back after the closing date
