The roles will be responsible for assessing and reviewing building consent records (plans, building consent conditions and inspection records) and issuing of Code Compliance Certificate.
The role ensures Auckland Council is satisfied on reasonable grounds that compliance has been achieved with the approved building consent and legislative requirements.
You will provide technical advice, support and guidance to our customers to ensure you assist them through the final stages of their construction projects.
He kōrero mōu : About youNaturally, you will have sound technical skills and be a good team player with close working relationships within the inspection and administration teams and the other areas within council.
Having a customer focused approach is extremely important to this role. Having a good eye for detail and being methodical in your approach to assessments would be your key to success as an assessor.
You would be expected to have a good knowledge and understanding of the Building Act 2004 and the Building Regulations and Codes.
A recognised building related qualification (Building Control Surveying / Construction / Architecture) or at least 3-5 years of practical experience in a building related field would be good.
