    Live Life DisabilitySupport (LLDS) provide support to people who have disabilities to achieve theirpersonal aspirations and choices.

    LLDS provides support to over 250 people in avariety of residential and respite settings across the Nelson / Tasman andMarlborough regions.

    We support each personto manage their day to day lives in ways and at times that work for them. Thepeople we support have a wide range of abilities and challenges.

  • Some peopleneed support with their personal care and taking care of household tasks; some needsupport to participate and go out-and-about and join in social and leisureactivities;
  • and some need communication and behavioural support.

    Weactively encourage people to pursue their dreams and try out new experiences,and can guarantee that no two days working at LLDS are ever the same.

    N.B. Disability Support Services are part of Nelson MarlboroughHealth, we are not however a medical / clinical service. We are a communitybased disability support service focused on quality of life outcomes and theEnabling Good Lives Principles.

    working an average of 42 hours a fortnight over a 6 week rotating roster cycle 0.525FTE.

  • Shift : 4.00PM to 10.00PM (6 hour days).
  • Roster : 3 shifts on, 3 shifts off.
  • Yourfortnightly hours will vary as follows : FN1 : 36 hrs, FN2 : 42 hrs, FN3 : 48hrs.
  • two full-timepositions each working 80 hours a fortnight as rostered across all shifts -1.0FTE.

  • Flexibilityto work across a range of shifts, including the occasional Sleepover, isrequired.
  • working 26 hours a fortnight 0.33FTE.

    Shifts :

  • 4.00PMto 9.00PM every Saturday, and
  • 7.00AM to 4.00PM every Sunday.

    You will have a can-do attitude and beable to work withadults as part of a proactive team, in a supported livingenvironment.

    You will follow individual plans andunderstand the importance of consistency in assisting people to achieve a greatlife.

    We’re looking for people from all walksof life who :

  • Have a sense of humour, energy and enthusiasm
  • Are patient and kind, friendly and helpful
  • Have good social skills and the ability to relate well to others
  • Have the ability to understand non-verbal behaviours
  • Have good written and spoken language skills in English and / or Te Reo.
  • Have basic maths and computing knowledge
  • Have confidence in assisting with personal cares
  • A current full NZ driver’s licence (confident driving both automatic andmanual vehicles).
  • NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 2 to 4) or equivalent ispreferred, or the willingness to complete this level of study in the workplace.
  • Your hourly rate willbe $21.50 to $27.00 anhour dependent upon your qualifications as recognised under the Care andSupport Workers (Pay Equity) Settlement Act 2017.

    This position is classified byImmigration as ANZSCO 423111 and applicants for this position must be NZ orAustralian Citizens, or have NZ Permanent Residency, or a valid NZ workvisa.
