Black & Gold Events are gearing up for their busiest time of year Christmas!

Black & Gold Events are looking for experienced Functions and Events Chefs to start ASAP - this role will be a part-time, fixed-term contract until April 2021, with varying working hours Monday to Sunday.

Black and Gold run three function venues within central Wellington The Basin Reserve, Harbourside Functions Centre and Kumutoto as well as being actively involved in major events in the city.

You will become part of a team where diversity and flexibility is key, no two days are the same, so you will gain heaps of experience.

We’re after Chefs of all different backgrounds. You will be based at the Harborside Functions Centre’s kitchen and will need to have a passion for delivering great food.

We’ve got an exciting opportunity for driven, talented Chefs to take a leap of faith and join us to deliver memorable hospitality to everyone!

Requirements for the Role;

Ideally a background in functions / events catering (not mandatory but preferred)

Able to work weekends

Flexible availability in hours you can work

Have excellent communication and listening skills

Ensure all operational processes and procedures are adhered to

Ensure FOH and BOH cohesion at all times

Identify potential service issues and act accordingly to avoid them

Handle complaints with empathy and ensure a more than satisfactory outcome for our customers

Always portray a positive attitude, be happy, smiling and having fun
