About the Role :

As a Graduate Software Engineer you will be joining an experienced software development team working on the Orion Health Forms and Workflow suite of products.

The Forms and Workflow suite of applications, with a mixture of legacy and modern technologies, will provide you the opportunity to rapidly build your experience through development work that will incorporate support, configuration, bug fixing, and new feature development.

You will be immersed in a culture of collaboration, learning and software engineering excellence that will equip you with the skills to become a successful Software Engineer.

The environment you will be working in is complex and will both provide you with variety and challenge you on a daily basis.

You'll be a part of a strong, diverse, team, and receive plenty of mentoring and support to help you develop and advance your career.

What is Orion Health Forms and Workflow

Orion Health Forms and Workflow is a comprehensive suite of products that provide the technology for clinicians to collaborate, proactively manage care, and take preventative action, to help ensure the best possible health outcomes for their patients. About You :

You will have a great understanding of the Java language and object oriented programming. You love to solve problems, have an eye for detail, enjoy understanding how things work under the hood, and thrive in a team environment.

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and enjoy a collaborative, relaxed work environment with a strong engineering culture.

Ideally, you will have experience in or desire to learn some of the following tools and technology :

  • Java, application servers, REST APIs, JSON, ORM (Hibernate), SQL
  • Modern web technology and tooling like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Redux, and TypeScript
  • Cloud technologies, such as AWS
  • Software test automation using BDD, Selenide, Selenium and Cucumber; and TDD with JUnit
  • Build automation and tooling with CI tools like Bamboo
  • Eclipse, Git Version Control, Linux, Docker, MacOS
  • Agile development processes
  • Most important is your can do’ attitude - the work will challenge you in many ways and give you a well-rounded experience in the full software development lifecycle.
