Te Papa stands proud as an iconic national building in Wellington's CBD, housing the treasures of our nation and is a vibrant destination for both national and international visitors.
We are excited to be opening a new retail store within the Wellington Airport complex to help showcase Te Papa. Our aim is to combine the traditional Museum approach with best practice cultural retailing.
If you're a highly energetic and motivated retail professional who wants to join the Te Papa Wellington Airport Store from Day 1' we want to hear from you.
You will contribute to establishing and embedding the new store, and supporting the growth of Te Papa's retail sales business.
The Assistant Store Manager will work together with our Store Manager located at Te Papa, to coach and lead a small Retail Sales Team to achieve excellent standards of customer service, and to support their ongoing training and development of product knowledge and sales techniques.
Applicants must be available to work 40 hours per week across regular shifts as rostered over a seven day roster. As Te Papa is open 364 days per year, weekend work is included in our rosters.

The salary range for this position is $43,800 to $54,591. Offers will be made within the range to reflect the skills and experience offered by the candidate and those required of the role, and internal relativities with other employees.
