As a valued part of the Sales team, your role will be to drive new business growth across New Zealand, primarily with customers in the export and food manufacturing sector, converting them to more sustainable packaging solutions.
This will be achieved through identifying and prospecting new markets, customers and channels as well as maximising growth opportunities within the existing customer base.
This role can be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch and reports directly to the Head of Category.
The key responsibilities of this role include :
Generate and execute new business opportunities that positively impact the environment
Take a lead role in establishing our global digital tracking solutions in NZ
Proactively manage the sales funnel and convert opportunities
Present sales proposals based on value and customer solutions
Manage customers through product trials when necessary
Monitor competitor activity to stay ahead of the market
Follow up and convert leads generated by the category and marketing teams
Broaden CHEP’s penetration of products in our existing customer base
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications :
A true Hunter mentality, loving the thrill of the chase, but knowing where to invest your focus for maximum benefit
The ability to close deals quickly and effectively with win / win outcomes
Credibility, integrity, positive personal presentation, with the capability to engage with a variety of decision makers
Exposure to export, fresh produce or FMCG Supply Chains would be highly regarded
Tenacity and a positive can do attitude to create opportunities and follow up on execution
A strong planner with the ability to work autonomously.
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Logistics or a related area
