We are seeking permanent part time and casual support workers to join our Homecare team in Nelson, Tasman, Murchison and Golden Bay with some work in the surrounding areas.
A day in this role will see you :
Working autonomously with a wide range of clients in the community
Following a care plan to provide support with personal care and household tasks
Assisting clients with showering, dressing, mobility, medication support compression hosiery application, housework, and meal preparation
Representing Nurse Maude in your professional presentation and approach to each client and their Whanau
Using your personal vehicle to drive between scheduled visits.
Hours of work :
We are seeking support workers in the following areas : Nelson, Richmond, Tasman, Murchison and Golden Bay.
Hours offered are variable according to the area - in some areas, such as Murchison the hours are approximately 10 per week, while in main centres such as Richmond and Nelson we can offer up to 30 hours per week.
Our service provides client care 24 / 7, so successful permanent part time applicants will be offered guaranteed hours and preferred work times that combine to cover current requirements and may include morning, evening and weekend shifts.
We are also seeking casual employees to work in a flexible way, with hours mutually agreed in line with service requirements.
Having availability to work at least alternate weekends or one day each weekend is preferred.
To be successful in this position, you will :
Be professional, honest and reliable
Be friendly in your approach, passionate about working with people and providing a high level of care for our clients
Be fit and able to achieve all tasks associated with the position, including bending and crouching to support clients with personal care
Hold a full New Zealand drivers' licence, and have your own reliable transport
Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
A Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or an equivalent health qualification, and previous experience in the industry would be preferred, but isn't essential.
