About the role :

This combined role of Inventory and Sales Assistant will see you become part of our highly passionate and knowledgeable Gisborne store, committed to making the world a happier place through the love of pets!

  • Permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week
  • Your day will be split between Inventory and Sales, with plenty of variety and scope to develop your retail career

  • This is a physical role which requires lifting of heavy bags of pet food (up to 20kg)

    About you :

    Your positive and proactive approach to customer service combined with your passion for people, pets and retail will set you apart from the crowd and ensure that our customers are provided with the best information and advice to enable them to take the best possible care of their pets.

    We are looking for someone who can also demonstrate stock management experience, is highly detailed and good with numbers.

    You will have proven administration experience and understand the importance of processing incoming stock efficiently and accurately.

    To thrive in this exciting and varied role, our successful candidate should have :

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role (retail experience preferred)
  • A high level of fitness with the ability to lift up to 20kg repeatedly
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work well in a fast paced environment and successfully multitask
  • A commitment to on-going training
  • A positive 'can do' attitude
  • Flexible availability to work weekends, Public Holidays and covers shifts if required
