Reporting to the Production Manager, this role will be responsible for assisting in the production of quality precast concrete products.
Role responsibilities include : Setting up formwork to drawings, check square and stability of mouldingRead and interpret technical drawingsProduce moulds ready for precast, through cutting materials to size and assembling and nailing cut and shape parts.
Check moulds by erecting framework against specifications and verifying trueness of structures nailing fascia panel.Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to installCutting wood jointsSetting up and cutting timber (edge rebate)Construct concrete formworkRepair existing fittingsNailing where necessaryRepair existing moulds to minimise wastage.
Work to schedules and production targetsKeeping a clean and tidy work environmentFollow all health and safety requirements such as daily pre-start checks on vehiclesWhat you will bring : Previous reinforcement experience working with precast concrete products is essentialPrevious experience reading plans / drawingsClass 1, F OSH endorsement an advantageAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work outsideAccurate time keeping with the ability to work to deadlinesHigh level of both verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding and experience with NZ manufacturing safety standardsConsideration will be given to the candidates with minimum of 12 months relevant experience.
