This is a fixed term role until 22nd October 2022.Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the roleThis is a key communications role working within one of NZ's largest government organisations.

You will support and drive communications related to Te Uru Rākau New Zealand Forest Service. This role is a mix of strategy and stakeholder engagement within an interesting and diverse portfolio of work.

Key responsibilities will be to :

  • Supporting an update of the Te Uru Rākau New Zealand Forest Service story.
  • Provide strategic and tactical communications support across work programmes and projects.
  • Support the development of overall stakeholder management and engagement plans for Te Uru Rākau New Zealand Forest Service programme activities.
  • Develop and implement proactive communications.Mōu - About youWe are looking for someone who communicates with impact, with experience in both operational and strategic external communications.
  • You will need the following skills and experience to be successful :

  • Superb writing skills
  • Knowledge of Government processes, including working with Ministers' offices
  • Experience developing stakeholder engagement plans
  • Experience planning for and delivering multi-channel communications including social media and web content
  • Experience and comfort in working with media, including identifying, developing and pitching proactive stories and issues management
