About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic tojoin our friendly team in our truck fleet maintenance workshop it’s a brand-newpurpose-built state of the art workshop facility, based in East Tamaki,Auckland.
In this role, you will work alongside ourhighly skilled team, who are responsible for the diagnostics and maintenance ofa variety of diesel and electric (EV’s) trucks and their associatedbodies / equipment to maximise operational availability or simply keeping ourtrucks on the road.
Responsibilities will include :
Maintaining vehicle records by annotating all inspections, servicing, and repairs on the job sheets
Maintaining vehicles and associated equipment according to our company policy and vendor recommended programmes
Conducting vehicle and body / unit servicing in accordance with our company Preventative Maintenance Programme
Always promote and maintain safe practices
The operating hours of our workshop : day shift8.00am 5.30pm and afternoon shift 2.00pm 11.30pm and there are also a 24hr7-day on-call response duty on a roster basis.
To be successful in this role you will need :
A Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate andexperience in the preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of fleettrucks
Preference will be given to those withhydraulic systems diagnostics and maintenance experience and / or experience inautomotive electrical / electronic fault diagnosis
Experience in Computerised MaintenanceManagement Systems (CMMS) and ideally a Class 4 Driver’s Licence would also bean advantage
