About the business AB Foods is a food manufacturer based in Mangere Auckland We make cookies and vegechips About the role Production and Manufacturing Responsible for the facilitation of daily quality control and good manufacturing production and processing practices Provides support to the Production Manager as well as Quality Assurance Department Requires an appreciation for manufacturing processes and regulatory requirements and must possess an eye for details Coordinate and manage the assigned production manufacturing stations and line clearances Ensure daily quality control measures are being achieved and complete quality checks as required Check and ensure the integrity of production data and informationComplete or partake in internal audits as required Coordinate and complete the internal calibration of equipmentComplete internal process and control point validationsComplete assigned project work relating to quality and manufacturing systemAssist and or manage various projects and validation work and calibration as and when required by the companyStrongly foster with all staff a philosophy of producing quality and efficient production in manufacturing processes rather than reliance on QC checking and of continuous improvement Quality Control Complete post manufacture quality assessment of productsAssist with maintaining and auditing of employee training recordsPerform Risk Assessment of any applicable activities as required in order to ensure a high standard of compliance and qualityProactively drive robust root cause analysis and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions and effective monitoringSuggest methods for improving product quality or design or manufacturing processes to help develop a company culture based on continuous improvementEffective communication and feedback with Quality team members Manager and staff in other departments Health and Safety Ensure a systematic approach to the management of Health and Safety is adoptedCompliance with OH amp S and environmental standards legislative requirements policies and proceduresMaintain a safe and healthy workplace for staff and ensure that staff is always working in a safe manner Skills and experience Requirements minimum 4 years in food manufacturing and 2 years at a coordinator level attention to detail independent and responsible thinking
