    About the role :

    We are looking for a highly competent, management assistant to manage the GM Te Ao Maori and Science Service schedule, appointments and travel arrangements.

    You will thrive in a busy environment and have the skills to keep the GM organised and on track. In this role you will perform secretarial tasks including administrative functions for conferences, seminars and meetings.

    You will develop and maintain professional working relationships with all external and internal clients.

    What are we looking for? As an experienced MA, you will :

  • Have strong interpersonal skills, coupled with diplomacy and discretion
  • Be a quick thinker, comfortable with shifting priorities, making decisions and working unsupervised
  • Have excellent writing skills and demonstrated experience with the Microsoft suite
  • Have an ability to carry out fundamental financial tasks
  • Have excellent time management, organisation and planning skills
  • Have an ability to work cooperatively and confidentially within a team
  • Fluent or competent in Te Reo desireable
