    We are looking for a Senior Communications Advisor to join the team supporting both AUT's internal and external communications.

    Our communications team works to grow the profile and reputation of AUT, and our employees are an important audience. You will seek out and share important and inspiring messages with our audiences.

    You will take a lead role in our internal communications community and provide best-practice advice and guidance on how we communicate with our people.

    Customer service is a huge part of this role. This position will suit someone who is organised, thrives on deadlines and can flex their communications style to work with staff at all levels.

    We are looking for an experienced communications professional who is adept at writing, whether it be from scratch or reworking content to tell a compelling story.

    You will also enjoy and be skilled at meeting and working with different people across the University. You won't be afraid to get stuck in and you will sometimes need to have difficult conversations.

    You will be confident and keen to bring your ideas and suggestions to the table.

    You will have

  • At least 3 years experience in a communications advisor role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to work independently to prioritise your work and manage conflicting deadlines
  • Ability to build relationships and negotiate with all levels of stakeholders
  • Experienced in evaluating and measuring the impact of your communications, using this information to inform your content
  • High level of attention to detail and strong editorial capabilities
