The opportunity

We are looking fora Senior Manager within the Infrastructure Advisory team. This role isavailable in Auckland or Wellington and is offered on a flexible full timebasis.

The InfrastructureAdvisory team works with clients on strategic, economic, financial, procurementand long-term contracting issues for large-scale infrastructure projects andprograms.

Join this team and you could be working with clients from local andcentral government or industry on projects that have impact on ourcommunities.

You'll gain exposure toindustries such as defence, water, health, transport and justice and contributeto the planning of major investments in this country’s future.

Your key responsibilities

  • Working in ahigh-performing team to help government and industry clients navigate allstages of the infrastructure lifecycle, from strategy and business casedevelopment through to transactions advice
  • Build and maintaineffective partnerships with EY’s existing and new clients to optimise serviceprovision
  • Leading businessdevelopment opportunities, including building relationships and leading thedevelopments of proposals and pitches
  • Support thedivision to achieve agreed revenue targets
  • Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience workingon major infrastructure projects in an advisory or delivery role, ideallywithin a public sector, Big 4, investment banking, orconstruction sector environment
  • Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills, and a track record of undertaking insightfulquantitative analysis
  • Stronginterpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels withinternal and external contacts
  • A commitment to astrong positive team culture and enthusiasm for working in a flexible anddiverse team environment
  • Demonstrated staffmanagement and leadership skills, and an ability to work effectively in projectteams
  • Minimum of aBachelor’s degree and 8 - 10 years post-graduate experience in a similar role
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Apassion for working on some of New Zealand’s largest and most transformativeinfrastructure projects
  • A goodunderstanding of New Zealand public sector dynamics, including the workings ofGovernment, the Better Business Case framework and broad policy knowledge
