PlaceMakers
Auckland, NZ

Help us build New Zealand! PlaceMakers is New Zealand’s leading and largest supplier of building materials to the commercial and residential construction markets.

We are part of the New Zealand Distribution Division of Fletcher Building which also spans Mico and Forman and sees us with a vast national network of branches and sites across NZ .

We strive to be the best building partner in the market, and we take huge pride in providing the highest level of service to our customers.

To continue to achieve this we are building Agile ways of working - bringing together strategy, technology, devOps and marketing to transform the customer experience and to provide them with a suite of Digital tools which they can use to interact with us.

About the Role : This is not a typical digital marketing’ role in the way it is often understood to be. This role sits where Marketing and Digital Product Ownership collide.

You will be a part of the Marketing Team based at our National Office in Penrose at the Fletcher Building campus, which offers a range of facilities including an on-site café and parking.

A big part of the role will see you being the marketing point person within the Agile work environment all focussed on releasing new products and iterations for existing products each sprint.

We will be looking for you to work alongside the Product Owners and UX / UI Lead. You will be someone who can comfortably talk to Tech teams and understand their language in terms of coding and programming, although we won’t be looking for you to do that yourself.

Your role in this space will be to ensure that the customer experience is advocated for and that decisions are looked at in terms of customer insights and analytics as we review how the products perform.

Essentially the best way to describe this part of the role is that you will be the bridge between our Marketing and Digital teams as the two worlds come closer and closer together.

The other part of the role will see you working alongside and reporting to the Head of Marketing, with the view to developing and implementing digital strategies, plans and initiatives across NZ Distribution, with PlaceMakers being a core focus.

There are existing eCom sites which are now maintained and managed by the Marketing team, and this will sit with you. Again it will be understanding how our customers interact with the site, keeping an eye on their purchasing behaviour and utilisation analytics to develop that picture.

This in turn will inform how we run and implement components of our marketing automation strategies as well as how we continually look to optimise the sites.

Lastly, we are looking for an individual with a big picture view who is motivated by the opportunity to put forward ideas and suggestions, under the proviso that you will also have to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail as well.

You will have a Digital Marketing Co-ordinator who will support you and we will be looking for you to provide leadership and mentoring to this individual as they grow their capabilities in this space.

If you are someone offering tested experience within a fast-paced changing environment which has required exceptional communication skills and advanced stakeholder influencing capabilities then we would very much like to talk to you.

Be inspired to come to work each day as part of an innovative workplace that you can really leave your mark in. This is a full-time permanent role which will provide you with the opportunity to take your career to the next level.

This opportunity will see you being involved in a number of exciting initiatives that push the boundaries and transforms the way our business engages with our customers.

You will be supported by a team with a collaborative culture that encourages creativity. To apply, please do so by applying on-line at fbcareers ref PMK / 16039 If you would like to speak about this role further, please call Kirsty Moffat on 021 300 989
