About the Role : This is not a typical digital marketing’ role in the way it is often understood to be. This role sits where Marketing and Digital Product Ownership collide.
You will be a part of the Marketing Team based at our National Office in Penrose at the Fletcher Building campus, which offers a range of facilities including an on-site café and parking.
A big part of the role will see you being the marketing point person within the Agile work environment all focussed on releasing new products and iterations for existing products each sprint.
We will be looking for you to work alongside the Product Owners and UX / UI Lead. You will be someone who can comfortably talk to Tech teams and understand their language in terms of coding and programming, although we won’t be looking for you to do that yourself.
Your role in this space will be to ensure that the customer experience is advocated for and that decisions are looked at in terms of customer insights and analytics as we review how the products perform.
Essentially the best way to describe this part of the role is that you will be the bridge between our Marketing and Digital teams as the two worlds come closer and closer together.
The other part of the role will see you working alongside and reporting to the Head of Marketing, with the view to developing and implementing digital strategies, plans and initiatives across NZ Distribution, with PlaceMakers being a core focus.
There are existing eCom sites which are now maintained and managed by the Marketing team, and this will sit with you. Again it will be understanding how our customers interact with the site, keeping an eye on their purchasing behaviour and utilisation analytics to develop that picture.
This in turn will inform how we run and implement components of our marketing automation strategies as well as how we continually look to optimise the sites.
Lastly, we are looking for an individual with a big picture view who is motivated by the opportunity to put forward ideas and suggestions, under the proviso that you will also have to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the detail as well.
You will have a Digital Marketing Co-ordinator who will support you and we will be looking for you to provide leadership and mentoring to this individual as they grow their capabilities in this space.
