We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has what it takes to succeed in a dynamic and challenging role. This is a customer focused role that provides advice about Building Act compliance, inspects, processes and issues Building Act notices and certificates, administers the earthquake prone buildings register, and monitors and audits buildings to confirm Building Act compliance, in a way that both legislative requirements and customer expectations are met.

To be successful in this role you will have the following :

  • Demonstrated knowledge of NZ building legislative framework
  • Technical knowledge and New Zealand experience in building construction
  • Previous inspection experience desirable
  • Experience with TA functions is desirable
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of M?ori perspectives and issues
  • Proven capability to develop and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with a range of key stakeholders
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Exemplary communications skills, time management and an eye for detail
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • A current and valid New Zealand driver's licence
