  • Wellington based Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity As Senior Risk Assurance advisor you will play an important role in the successful of our risk management programme.
  • Providing oversight and expert guidance across our Regulatory Services Group, you will ensure that both strategic and operational risks are well-managed and the best risk management practices are in place.

    This is a great opportunity to showcase your risk analysis skills and sound judgement to identify risk management issues.

    A key part of this role is working with a variety of stakeholders so you will be a keen collaborator and enjoy connecting with others.

    Ko koe tēnei About youTo be successful in this role, you will bring :

  • Solid experience in a similar role working in a regulatory environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience of risk management frameworks and assurance programmes
  • Proven experience of risk management reporting and use of risk performance indicators
  • Technical knowledge of the AS / NZS ISO 31000 Standard : Risk Management Principals & Guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Passion to coach, mentor and drive risk management best practices Ko wai mātou About us Waka Kotahi is the primary regulator responsible for managing land transport safety and for managing other harms in the land transport system.
  • Te Rōpu Waeture, the Regulatory Services Group, is accountable for delivering regulatory activities that help to ensure people, vehicles, rail and commercial transport organisations meet the required standards to be safe, and are able to access and use the transport system.

    You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori.
