Essential and optional requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial cookery experience in a similar role, preferably including 5-star experience.
  • Organizes time and work efficiently.
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as part of the job role.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Desire and ability to train, mentor and develop staff.
  • Appreciates and maintains an effective outlet for stress.
  • Key tasks

  • Supervision and running of your section efficiently and accordingly to the specified Menus and requirements.
  • Be familiar with the other kitchen sections, promoting flexibility and productivity.
  • Follow Food Safety plan and fill in the requested information on a daily basis.
  • Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.
  • Work with and co-ordinate the work of apprentices in the preparation and production of food as required.
