Northcote, AucklandJob DescriptionThis Senior role is responsible for conducting financial, operational and process analysis, identifying areas for improvement, and producing clear and precise business requirement specification documentation to systems testing.
Success for the Business Analyst Practice / Team Lead role is defined by the group making material progress on lifting our delivery management practices maturity as part of our core transformational activity, which will in turn reduce waste and delights our customers through value delivery.
You will also be required to be a BA on projects including large- and small-scale business improvement, IT Systems and infrastructure projects.
QualificationsAs the Business Analyst Practice / Team lead, you be tasked with the following : Training and coaching practitioners working as Business Analysts Providing overall leadership for delivery activitiesWorking with the TWG Agile coachesPerforming business analysis tasks using HCD & agile tools and techniques to determine the people, processes, policy, data and systems impacted by the assigned projects / tasksEnsuring effective change and communications management is embedded in the delivery plans.
Qualifications and Experience Needed : Previous experience as a leader in a large sized organisation embedding good practice.
Strong soft skills (interpersonal, negotiation, diplomacy, political awareness) with an advanced level of business acumen.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the IT industry 5 of which are in a senior leadership role with practice enhancement.Experience IT, with a wide and detailed system delivery knowledge and / or experience in retail or large industry / corporate environmentsExperience in driving improvement initiatives in complex environments with a continuous improvement mindsetAt least 10 years’ relevant IT Business experience, including System and User Acceptance Testing.
Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies, requirements gathering, user stories / journeys, and working alongside business users, developers and architectsStrong analytical and problem-
solving skills and experience. Lateral thinking skills.Excellent communication and facilitation skills required, both written and verbalEffective presentation of ideas to all groups with varying levels of technical knowledgeStrong understanding of agile techniques and their application in the delivery life cycleStrong understanding of lean principles and the application of those to the delivery life cycleUnderstanding and use of design thinking techniques to shape solution approachesUnderstanding and use of customer journey mapping and business model canvas creationTertiary education in a technology or business-
