Our The Auckland Transport Operations Centre (ATOC) at Smales Farm, Takapuna, plays a key role in this goal, working with the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) to monitor the state highways from Cape Reinga to Taupo and Auckland's arterial road network.
The roleATOC Operators work with a variety of traffic management and surveillance systems to record information, improve traffic flow, safeguard road network sites and generate equipment fault requests to make sure you can get where you want as safely as possible.
Operators also tasked with processing CCTV footage requests as a part of their role.Operators also play a key role in emergencies, liaising with emergency services and police to keep the public safe and the roads moving.
ATOC is a 24 hour operation with Operators working 12 hour shifts. Casual operators may work a partial or full shift depending on business needs.
What we look forWe are looking for confident communicators, able to naturally build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders while also having a good geographical knowledge of New Zealand.
You will also have great computer skills as we operate a range of highly specialised traffic management systems.Working for Auckland TransportWorking as an Operator is a challenging and rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to work with multiple agencies.
