Your role :
We are currently recruiting for a Fitter Machinist to join O-I at our New Zealand Operation based in Penrose. Working in the Mould Shop and reporting to the Mould Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for repairing Glass Container moulding equipment to ensure Glass quality.
This role requires extensive work with files, pneumatic grinders, hacksaws and some relief work on CNC lathes repairing glass bottle moulds.
You will too have exposure to job change activities in the plant.
Please note that this is a day shift role.
About you :
You will have a fitter / machinist trade qualification and have experience in a heavy industrial environment, preferably manufacturing.
You must have experience working with hand tools. If you have milling, lathing or CNC experience and are computer literate this will be to your advantage.
You will hold safety above all else, have sound written and verbal communication and be a strong team player.
