    Whītiki Maurea is a clinical service within the Waitematā DHB Specialist Mental Health Māori and Addictions Service group.

    We provide a clinical service that is culturally led by weaving together Māori healing practices and Western clinical practice.

    Te Ātea Marino is a brief intervention service that aims to provide a mana enhancing and mana protective experience to all tangata whai i te ora, who present, seeking help and support.

    We offer high quality group and counselling interventions for individuals aged 13 years and up and we welcome the presence of whānau as a primary support throughout treatment.

    We like to go beneath the superficial presenting problems to address core issues, particularly around identity and connection, and our therapeutic goal is to provide a whānau focussed, wairua driven process that enables tangata whai i te ora to achieve their recovery goals and emerge with enhanced mana and rangitiratanga.

    We want to employ a DAPAANZ Registered AOD Clinician but would be willing to consider other qualifications if you have a history of working with people with addictions.

    You will also need to show that you are working towards cultural competence and have an awareness of the Takarangi Competency Framework.

    Clinical and cultural training / supervision will be provided.
