Design Lead Ara Manāwa Auckland DHB-CEN09115 Fixed Term 12 month contract one position

Auckland District Health Board has an outstanding Strategy,Participation and Improvement team comprised of people with a range ofbackgrounds and skills in facilitating change.

Within this team we haveAra Manāwa, a design and innovation lab that brings design capability intoAuckland DHB. Designers in this team work with patients, families,clinical staff and many other stakeholders to create solutions.

Theyprovide the design capability to understand needs, create and prototypesolutions, and implement new designs within our large and complexorganisation.

The work we do makes a real difference to the people weserve. It helps us to provide services that are world-class and whichmake the best use of health resources.

We are currently seeking senior design capability in Ara Manāwa to solvecomplex service or system level issues with patients, whānau, and staff.

Candidateswill have a tertiary design qualification and experience as a designer havingmoved into senior roles as addressing service and system level opportunities.

This role will facilitate design work within Auckland DHB and across healthsector partners. It will provide a mentoring role in the application of serviceand system design work within the DHB and design mentorship to designers withinAra Manāwa.

Strong human centred design research skillsare necessary for gathering and analysing both quantitative and qualitativedata.
