Our Regional Rangatahi Adolescent Inpatient Service have a unique role available. They are looking for an exceptional clinician to take the lead in the service development of the unit’s Therapeutic Day Programme.
Working alongside senior clinicians you will be given the opportunity to use your knowledge and skills to their maximum in developing a service of excellence for our adolescents.
RRAIS (Regional Rangatahi Adolescent Inpatient Service) is a 13 bed open unit for 12-17 year olds located at Kenepuru Hospital, 20k north of central Wellington covering the Central Region District Heath Boards.
RRAIS is a bicultural service based on kaupapa Maori frameworks combined with mainstream psychiatry approaches. RRAIS also operates a day service for 8 clients who reside within the Wellington / Hutt region.
Increased funding will enable us to advance the therapeutic programme for both day and inpatients. So we are seeking someone with the skills, experience and vision to create a centre of excellence.
You will be given the required support and further training to enhance your skills.
If you believe that adolescents sometimes need a space where they can feel safe and be helped to make some sense of their chaotic worlds, to have a voice and feel that they have been heard,we are wanting to hear from you.
