Great opportunity for a Senior Technical officer with experience with 12D to lead our Cad team and work on a range of projects for Transport and Water disciplines.
In this role you will take responsibility for the pastoral care of the Christchurch CI CAD team which will include the full range of people management as well as CAD resource management to ensure projects are staffed.
Day to day, you will also be involved creating quality documentation, checking and assisting in preparation and issuing of drawings for clients using AutoCAD.
It is essential that you be committed to help to develop and support the members of your team.
Successfully complete DE project work and 12d design within your area(s) of expertise / specialisation
Produces accurate and timely CAD drawings, models, designs and documentation to agreed deadlines, standards (industry and project), and in accordance with the project plan.
Contributes to a complete and integrated set of digital project content by working co-operatively with team members both locally and abroad
Provide technical leadership on projects and pursuits; determining approach and standards
Provide Project Leads / Project Managers, with specialist design, drafting and checking resources to keep projects within time and budget targets
Take responsibility for the delivery (time, cost, quality) of your own work and of the work of project teams under your direction / management, in accordance with project and / or task plans and instructions
Monitor your own time and cost information & ensure project / task profitability, communicating performance against plan to Project Managers.
Ditto for project teams under your direction / management
Complete project peer reviews (checking and verification)
We are seeking an experienced, senior level CAD Technician, both technically strong and possessing natural people skills.
You will be able to inspire, lead and mentor others in the team and will lead by example. With a strong civil engineering CAD background you will be able to demonstrate :
10 or more years' experience working on civil infrastructure projects
Knowledge of managing drawings deliverables and revisions and related quality assurance systems
ProjectWise, Navisworks, Civil 3D, OpenRoads and InfraWorks experience would be viewed as extremely beneficial
Ability to prepare complete civil engineering drawings, layout drawings and details drawing
Proven people leadership skills
Highly organised and self-motivated.
Experienced AutoCAD and 12D user.
