Auckland City, AucklandVolunteerPenrose locationDrive a range of vehicles and maintain equipmentLogistics support at major eventsThis volunteer role supports the Event Health Services Team by preparing and maintaining vehicles and equipment and helping with logistics at major events in Auckland.

St John run a fleet of event vehicles, including golf-carts, ambulances, ATV's, pedal-medics, motorbikes, and trailers. The equipment needs to be checked against manifest and stored safely at our event warehouse in Penrose.

Vehicles may need to be moved to the workshop for maintenance when required.What do I need to volunteer in these roles?Current, clean NZ drivers licence, with the ability to confidently drive both automatic and manual vehicles.

Ability to commit to one day or two half days per week on an ongoing basisPhysically able to lift and move equipmentPlanning, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and team workReferences, Police and Driver checks will be required following interview.In return, we provide relevant training, ongoing support, and St John membership (which gives free ambulance service for immediate family).
