    Job Description

    As an SEO Specialist at TheMarket, you’ll be combining your existing experience in SEO, creativeness, and willingness to supercharge your own growth, to help deliver our SEO strategy, and continue to increase organic traffic and conversions.

    Your primary focus will be optimizing on page & technical elements of our website.

    As a contemporary SEO, you understand that it’s more than just keyword stuffing and what the keyword density of page is.

    You’ll turn keyword phrases into a problem-solution angle and align TheMarket with that solution.

    Through keyword research, you’ll uncover our customers pain points and jobs to be done, and then execute strategies to alleviate them, thereby improving our brand awareness and organic traffic.

    The day to day :

    Is pretty straight forward SEO activity, working on huge site audits, analysis, content gap analysis, mostly on page optimisation, keyword analysis and more.

    You’ll also be providing thorough reporting & analysis on a weekly / monthly basis.

    As a team, the key metrics we work towards are improving non-brand organic traffic, non-brand impressions, non-brand organic revenue.

    You will be a clear communicator who shows strong initiative, as your role requires you to work across a number of different teams including the technical and trade teams.

    Responsibilities

    Providing guidance with a platform migration to minimize loss of organic traffic

    Assisting in TheMarket’s onpage & technical SEO, with a strong focus on execution & implementation

    Conducting regular technical audits

    Analysing top performing brands, categories, and products through Search Console and optimizing onpage elements

    Ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization, including long tail keyword research

    Conducting competitor analysis and providing recommendations

    Keyword rank analysis using tools like Accuranker, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics

    Having a clear understanding of TheMarket’s overall SEO strategy and goals

    Regular reporting and analysis

    Recommend changes to website architecture, canonicals, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords

    Assist in developing SEO strategies and reporting on efficacy

    Qualifications

    Proven experience as an SEO specialist - analysing, reviewing, and revising existing content on a website to boost organic traffic

    Understanding of SEO content strategy and creation

    Examples of creative solutions to improve the reach of your websites you’ve worked on

    Strong research and analytical skills

    2 years experience as an SEO specialist

    Experience with ecommerce and marketplace
