If you are looking for a job where you can build a long term career, where no two days are the same and you play a key role in assisting others to live their best lives, please read on.

We are looking for two people to join our North Shore team as part-time Support Workers in the Glenfield area :

  • Position 1 is 42.5 hours per fortnight, plus one sleepover shift. Roster includes weekend shifts.
  • Position 2 is 37 hours per fortnight, no sleep overs. Roster includes weekend shifts.
  • This is stimulating and meaningful work where you can be creative and make every day interesting in ways that are important to others.

Part of your day may include showering, administering medication, and dealing with challenging behaviour, but the rewards are amazing.

Every day is different, and you need to have a flexible approach with the right attitude.

In this service you will need to be able to work with people who don't identify as having an intellectual disability and support people to communicate with others without it being seen as obvious or condescending.

You will need to be able to follow plans but also take initiative at times and be creative, it's the type of service where we can't plan for every scenario.

Ideally, you will have some experience in the disability sector, but if not, we would still love to hear from you if this is a career you want to pursue and you have the right 'can-do' attitude.
