Customer Central" is our co-design and innovation lab where we work with people from inside and outside AT to deliver better outcomes for Aucklanders.

Using human-centred design and agile methods, we work to quickly discover / design / test / deliver solutions to customer problems, big or small.

  • We also help project teams from across the business to design customer interventions and work towards long term solutions;
  • whether it's in the digital space, community interaction, tactical urbanism, or future infrastructure.The team has been running for three years and are more in demand than ever, so it's a great time to join.

    The work is challenging, varied and meaningful, and you'll be supported by a great team who are constantly learning and sharing ideas and methods.

    About the role : The role of the Customer Experience Designer is to facilitate and design better outcomes for our customers and communities.

    No two days will ever be the same. You will perform a diverse range of functions, including but not limited to, designing customer experience sessions with business representatives, facilitation of sprints and workshops, service design, concept generation, prototyping and testing, as well as engaging with key stakeholders to build momentum and gain buy in.

    About you : You will have proven experience in designing and facilitating sprints and workshops as well as creating and guiding cross-functional teams to explore and prototype potential solutions.

    You are adept at leading design research, utilising appropriate tools as well as applying insights from research and analytics to unpack problems and identify opportunities to enhance AT's customer experiences.

    As a superior communicator, you will have a growth mindset and stakeholders and peers alike respect you - and listen to you.

    An agile team player through and through, you are dedicated to continually improve processes in order to achieve high quality outcomes efficiently.
