The role Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
We’re looking for a Support Worker who is passionate about supporting people experiencing mental illness on their recovery journeys.
Through whanaungatanga and manaakitanga we aim to bring mana to the tangata whaiora that we support. The role will report to the Team Coach and you’ll be part of our Pathways Tauranga Respite Service.
This is a diverse and rewarding role where you’ll be :
Teaching strategies to improve or manage well-being
Providing a listening ear
Supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills
Attending appointments and advocating for people
Assisting people to connect with their communities
Hosting clinical teams
Supporting guests with medication
Maintaining the home and doing whatever it takes - helping out with everyday tasks like cleaning, cooking, gardening, and personal care
This is a permanent, full-time position in our Respite Service in Tauranga. You will be working 40 hours per week, Tuesday- Saturday, 3.00pm - 11.30pm.
You Mōu :
We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in a recovery focused way, you will have impeccable attention to detail and be able to provide medication support for our people.
You must hold a current full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
